Type species: ¤ Huanghella arctica Jiang et al. 2013.
Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Huanghella, named after the Chinese Arctic Huanghe Station.
Valid publication: JIANG (F.), XIAO (M.), CHEN (L.), KAN (W.), PENG (F.), DAI (J.), CHANG (X.), LI (W.) and FANG (C.): Huanghella arctica gen. nov., sp. nov., a bacterium of the family Cytophagaceae isolated from Arctic tundra soil. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2013, 63, 696-702.

Huanghella arctica Jiang et al. 2013, sp. nov. (Type species of the genus.)
Type strain: (see also StrainInfo.net) R9-9 = CCTCC AB 2010418 = NRRL B-59750.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA gene) for the type strain: JQ303016.
Etymology: L. fem. adj. arctica, northern, from the Arctic, referring to the site where the type strain was isolated.
