Type genus: ¤ Glycomyces Labeda et al. 1985.
Etymology: N.L. masc. n. Glycomyces, type genus of the family; suff. -aceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Glycomycetaceae, the Glycomyces family.
