Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Euzebyella, named after the French microbiologist J. P. Euzéby, for his outstanding contribution to the nomenclature of Prokaryotes and to bacterial taxonomy in general.

Etymology: Gr. n. sakchâr, sugar; N.L. adj. philus -a -um (from Gr. adj. philos -ê -on), friend, loving; N.L. fem. adj. saccharophila, sugar-loving.
