Corallibacter Kim et al. 2012, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Corallibacter vietnamensis Kim et al. 2012.
Etymology: L. n. corallum, coral; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Corallibacter, a rod from a coral, referring to the isolation of the first strains from the coral Palythoa sp.
Valid publication: KIM (S.B.), NEDASHKOVSKAYA (O.I.), ZHUKOVA (N.V.), KUKHLEVSKIY (A.D.) and MIKHAILOV (V.V.): Corallibacter vietnamensis gen. nov., sp. nov., a marine bacterium of the family Flavobacteriaceae. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2012, 62, 569-574.

Etymology: N.L. masc. adj. vietnamensis, of or belonging to Vietnam, the country of origin of the type strain.
