Type species: ¤ Youngimonas vesicularis Hameed et al. 2014.
Etymology: Gr. fem. n. monas, a unit, monad; N.L. fem. n. Youngimonas, a monad named after Chiu-Chung Young, a Taiwanese microbiologist.

Youngimonas vesicularis Hameed et al. 2014, sp. nov.
Type strain: (see also StrainInfo.net) CC-AMW-E=JCM 18819=BCRC 80549.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA) for the type strain: KC169815.
Etymology: L. fem. adj. vesicularis, pertaining to a small bladder, a vesicle, referring to a vesicle structure associated with the type strain.
