Type species: ¤ Vibrionimonas magnilacihabitans Albert et al. 2014.
Etymology: N.L. n. vibrio -onis, a bacterial genus name of bacteria possessing a curved rod shape (Vibrio); L. fem. n. monas, a unit, monad; N.L. fem. n. Vibrionimonas, a vibrio(-like) monad, referring to curved rod-shaped bacterium.
