Sinosporangium Zhang et al. 2011, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Sinosporangium album Zhang et al. 2011.
Etymology: M.L. n. sina, China; N.L. n. sporangium [from Gr. n. spora, a seed (and in biology a spore), and Gr. n. angeion (Latin transliteration angium), vessel], sporangium; N.L. neut. n. Sinosporangium, an organism isolated in China bearing sporangia.

Etymology: L. neut. adj. fuscum, brown, the colour of the substrate mycelium on ISP 2 (pH 9).

Etymology: N.L. neut. adj. siamense, of or belonging to Siam, the old name of Thailand, the source of the soil from which the type strain was isolated.
