Type species: ¤ Senegalimassilia anaerobia Lagier et al. 2014.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Senegalimassilia, combination of Senegal, where the stool was collected and massilia, the latin name of Marseille, where strain JC110T was cultivated.
