Etymology: Gr. adj. sandarakinos, of orange colour; Gr. fem. n. rhabdos, rod; N.L. fem. n. Sandarakinorhabdus, orange-coloured rod.

Etymology: Gr. n. limnos, lake, pool of standing water; Gr. adj. philos loving; N.L. fem. adj. limnophila, lake-loving, isolated from a freshwater lake.
