Type species: ¤ Pseudopedobacter beijingensis Cao et al. 2014.
Etymology: Gr. adj. pseudês, false; N.L. masc. n. Pedobacter, a bacterial genus; N.L. masc. n. Pseudopedobacter, like Pedobacter, referring to the close relationship to the genus.

Pseudopedobacter beijingensis Cao et al. 2014, sp. nov. (Type species of the genus.)
Type strain: (see also StrainInfo.net) GCS-AE-31=MCCC 1A01299=CGMCC 1.12329=LMG 27180.

Etymology: N.L. masc. adj. beijingensis, of Beijing, the capital of PR China, where the type strain was first isolated.
