Pseudaeromonas pectinilytica Padakandla and Chae 2017, sp. nov.
Type strain: (see also StrainInfo.net) AR1=KCTC 42754=JCM 31503.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA) for the type strain: KT184595.
Etymology: N.L. neut. n. pectinum, pectin; N.L. fem. adj. lytica (from Gr. fem. adj. lytikê), able to loosen, able to dissolve; N.L. fem. adj. pectinilytica, dissolving pectin.

Basonym: ¤ Aeromonas sharmana Saha and Chakrabarti 2006.
Etymology: N.L. fem. adj. sharmana named in honour of Dr Manju Sharma, a biologist and a great proponent of research on microbial diversity in India.
