Type species: ¤ Pluralibacter gergoviae Brady et al. 2013.
Etymology: L. adj. pluralis, belonging or relating to more than one, relating to many; N.L. masc. n. bacter, equivalent of bacterium, a small rod; N.L. masc. n. Pluralibacter, a bacteria (rod) from many sources.
