Type species: ¤ Piscicoccus intestinalis Hamada et al. 2011.
Etymology: L. n. piscis, a fish; N.L. masc. n. coccus (from Gr. masc. n. kokkos, grain, seed), coccus; N.L. masc. n. Piscicoccus, a coccus from a fish.
