Type species: ¤ Parviterribacter kavangonensis Foesel et al. 2016.
Etymology: L. adj. parvus, small; L. fem. n. terra, earth; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Parviterribacter, small, rod-shaped bacterium isolated from soil.
