Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Nibrella, pertaining to NIBR, National Institute of Biological Resources, Republic of Korea.

Nibrella saemangeumensis Kang et al. 2013, sp. nov.
Type strain: (see also StrainInfo.net) GCR0103=KACC 16453=JCM 17927.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA) for the type strain: JN607159.
Etymology: N.L. fem. adj. saemangeumensis, of or belonging to the Saemangeum Tide Embankment in Jeollabuk-do, South Korea, from where the type strain was isolated.
