Type species: ¤ Krasilnikovia cinnamomea corrig. Ara and Kudo 2007.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Krasilnikovia, referring to N. A. Krasil'nikov, a Russian actinomycetologist who contributed to the taxonomy of the family Micromonosporaceae.

Type strain: (see also StrainInfo.net) strain 3-54(41) = JCM 13252 = MTCC 8094.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA gene) for the type strain: AB236956.
Etymology: L. n. cinnamomum, cinnamon; L. suff. -eus -a -um, suffix used with various meanings; N.L. fem. adj. cinnamomea, cinnamon-coloured.
