Haloferacaceae Gupta et al. 2015, fam. nov.
Nomenclatural type: ¤ Haloferax Torreblanca et al. 1986.
Etymology: N.L. fem. pl. n. Haloferax, type genus of the family; L. suff. -ceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Haloferacaceae, the family the nomenclatural type of which is the genus Haloferax.
Valid publication: GUPTA, R. S., NAUSHAD, S. and BAKER, S. 2015.
