Type species: ¤ Flaviaesturariibacter amylovorans Kang et al. 2015.
Etymology: L. adj. flavus, yellow; L. n. aestuarium, estuary; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Flaviaestuariibacter, a yellow, rod-shaped bacterium from an estuary.
