Type species: ¤ Endobacter medicaginis Ramírez-Bahena et al. 2013.
Etymology: Gr. pref. endo, within; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Endobacter, a rod isolated from the inside of a root nodule of Medicago sativa.
