Type species: ¤ Donghicola eburneus Yoon et al. 2007.
Etymology: N.L. n. Donghae, the Korean name of the East Sea in Korea; L. suff. -cola (from L. n. incola), a dweller, inhabitant; N.L. masc. n. Donghicola, a dweller of the East Sea in Korea.
