Type species: ¤ Domibacillus robiginosus Seiler et al. 2013.
Etymology: N. masc. n. domus, house; L. masc. n. bacillus, a rod, and also a bacterial genus name; N.L. masc. n. Domibacillus, a Bacillus-like organism isolated from a house.

Etymology: N.L. masc. adj. enclensis, arbitrary name formed from NCL, the acronym for the National Chemical laboratory, India, where taxonomic studies on this species were performed.
