Type species: ¤ Chishuiella changwenlii Zhang et al. 2014.
Etymology: N.L. dim. fem. n. Chishuiella, named after Chishui River, China, where the type strain was isolated.

Chishuiella changwenlii Zhang et al. 2014, sp. nov. (Type species of the genus.)
Type strain: (see also StrainInfo.net) BY4=CGMCC 1.12707=JCM 19633.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA) for the type strain: KF694751.
Etymology: N.L. gen. n. changwenlii, of Changwen Li, a Chinese microbiologist, who first introduced modern molecular biology techniques to the Chinese traditional liquor fermenting industry.
