Type species: ¤ Chenggangzhangella methanolivorans Yang et al. 2016.
Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Chenggangzhangella, named after a pioneering Chinese microbiologist Chenggang Zhang, in recognition for his work on microbial resources and their utilization.
