Type genus: ¤ Catenulispora Busti et al. 2006.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Catenulispora, type genus of the suborder; suff. -ineae, ending to denote a suborder; N.L. fem. pl. n. Catenulisporineae, the Catenulispora suborder.
Valid publication: CAVALETTI (L.), MONCIARDINI (P.), SCHUMANN (P.), ROHDE (M.), BAMONTE (R.), BUSTI (E.), SOSIO (M.) and DONADIO (S.): Actinospica robiniae gen. nov., sp. nov. and Actinospica acidiphila sp. nov.: proposal for Actinospicaceae fam. nov. and Catenulisporineae subord. nov. in the order Actinomycetales.
