Bizionia Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Bizionia paragorgiae Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Bizionia, named in honour of the famous Italian naturalist Bartolomeo Bizio, for his important contribution to the development of microbiology.
